Principal Analog Design Engineer

Location: Shanghai

Responsibilities:  

• Work as a key member of analog design team for the HPA (High Performance Analog) product line.

• Collaborate with business managers and product definers on product roadmaps.

• Upgrade and strengthen our existing product portfolio to capture additional sockets.

• Develop analog/mixed-signal products to position HPA for growth in new markets such as IoT, industrial, and medical.

• Drive architecture and feasibility studies to enable superior solutions in new market.

• Develop architectures and circuit techniques to implement such solutions.

• Guide and mentor junior team members, particularly in the areas of low-power, low-noise and low-drift designs.

• Evaluate and debug silicon in the laboratory during volume ramp-up. Support bench and ATE board designs.

Requirements：

• Bachelor degree or above, major in Electronic Engineering/Computer Science or other related discipline.

• Minimum 7 years’ relevant semiconductor industry design experience.

• Strong knowledge in device physics and ability to apply that to optimize noise, power, area, and performance of analog/mixed-signal circuits.

• Experience in high precision analog design and ultra-low power design are highly desirable.

• Experience in high precision voltage references is a plus.

• Experience in leading complex IC development is a plus.

• Highly knowledgeable in ESD, Latch-up, and general IC reliability issues.

• Highly proficient in state-of-the-art design tools and simulators.

• System knowledge in IoT, industrial, and medical products would be a plus.

• Good communicator in both oral and written English.

• Team player, able to work in a cross-functional-team environment.

Systems & Applications Engineer

Location: Shanghai

Responsibilities:  

• Provide the technical assets necessary for Automotive UWB product promotion with deep understanding of Automotive system requirements and innovative ideas, includes demonstrators, reference designs, development kits, trainings, press articles, etc.

• Combine expertise on NXP Automotive UWB products with insights in customer systems, develops a relation network in industry.

• Provide premium customer support, seeks opportunities and secure DWs with effective technical skills.

• Work as Automotive UWB application expert at the customer side, and an influential expert in the industry and institutes.

• Organize events to promote UWB products and to build up insights in customer systems, and workshops, seminars, etc.

• Provide requirements to product development, tests and validates developed products in system context.

• Team up with System Engineers in Hamburg and Shanghai, developing insights together.

• Co-work with RMMs and IPMs to investigate competition products and benchmark with system knowhow.

• Report functionally to the S&A in Hamburg, locally to China Technical Center Manager.

Requirements：

Principal Systems & Applications Engineer

Location: Shanghai

Responsibilities:

• Serve as technical owner for new product definition for analog and power management products for consumer/industrial applications. Author, review, and update detailed product specification document and validation test plan.

• Work closely with customers, internal team to define system requirement, feature set, product specifications, architecture which may include PMIC, battery charger, DC/DC converter, LDO, charge pump, LED driver, clocking, analog/digital interface, etc. for the proposed product.

• Communicate/present to external/internal audience regarding product specification, new product ideas.

• Understand power conversion topology, control loop design, power/thermal analysis, process and package technology, trade-off between system/design constrains, etc.

• Propose new products to drive the product roadmap ensuring the business will have a plan for sustainable differentiation in our products.

• Support new product development and key customers. Participate in chip architecture review, IC and board-level design reviews with internal engineering team.

• Assist product marketing with deriving market requirements, technical definition trade-offs and validating value propositions and competitive analysis.

• Travel to participate in internal functional team and customer meetings domestically and internationally, sometimes maybe on short notice.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or above, major in Electronic Engineering/Computer Science or other related discipline.

• Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in system/applications, product definition, architect, application support and/or designing power manage products for consumer/industrial applications.

• Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience on circuit testing and trouble shooting in lab environment.

• Extensive customer design-in support experience with power management product is preferred.

• Prior experience in PMIC, and/or Li-ion battery charger, etc. is plus.

• Good communication skill, able to explain system concepts and detailed technical requirements (writing and/or verbally) to internal teams and customers.

• Self-motivated, creative and results-oriented.

• Prior experience in collaborating and managing international customers is plus.

Product / Test Engineer

Location: Tianjin

Responsibilities:

• Work with Design, Device, Test, Application, Process and QA Engineers, to evaluated new product and new Wafer Fab and Assembly process.

• Perform and coordinate Reliability and Electrical test and Failure verification and Failure Analysis on the products.

• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards. Work flexible hours as required to meet project deadlines and manage department.

• Specification Configuration and management; administrative product management.

• Build and maintain traceability matrix.

• Manage characterization and qualification plan definition.

• Evaluate test coverage.

• Drive product characterization: collect and analyze data from lab and final test.

• Perform product qualification: reliability tests, ESD, Latch-up, etc…

• Set up production tools in final test (burn-in, ATE, dash boards…)

• Prepare CAB sessions and PPAP documents.

• Manage yield improvement, zero defect plans (PAT, SBL, JVT…) and Production ramp up and sustaining.

• CQC investigations (ATE test, lab analysis and FA lab follow up).

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or above, major in Electronic Engineering/Computer Science or other related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years working experience of electronics engineering.

• Strong Analog Electronics competences with power device skills and automotive environment knowledge preferred.

• Test instrumentation techniques and methodology is a must.

• Basic statistical knowledge is a must, while having experience on SPC(Statistic Process Control) is a plus.

• Good command of English both in writing and speaking in a global working environment.

• Strong synthesis and analysis skills.

• Good leadership and teamwork, and be hard working and diligent.

System & Architecture Engineer

Location: Tianjin

Responsibilities:

• Promote existing product portfolio to potential new customers in order to grow market share, defining product derivatives when appropriate and providing guidance in their system architecture to match products performance.

• Support existing customers in helping them solve application and system specific issues that they may encounter during the lifetime of the product.

• Develop product demonstration kit, models and system solution for end customers, based on in-depth knowledge of Battery Management System and embedded systems.

• Work with customers, field sales, FAEs, product definers, design engineers and the product line manager to support a family of power products for the business unit to plan roadmaps, specify new products and secure design wins.

• Perform requirements analysis and tradeoffs, create system level requirements descriptions, and work with product definers to create product specifications. Perform deep competitive analysis and provide plans and directions to drive market based solutions.

• Create customer facing technical documents such as data sheets, application notes, contributed articles and conference papers and contribute to reference designs and demos.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or above, major in Electronic Engineering/Computer Science or other related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience of Automotive Electronics, and in-depth knowledge over System Architecture and IC components.

• Specific skillset and knowledge, including electronics HW&SW, Functional Safety or EMC validation & rectification.

• Skills and experience on market exploration with sense of urgency.

• Skills and experience on electronics design, as PCB hardware and software development. Knowledge on typical applications, as ECUs or modules in Automotive, Industry or Consumer market.

• Good academic background is admired, as R&D project experience and professional articles publish.

• Excellent communications skills, verbal and written. Fluent English is admired.

• Successful track record of customer satisfaction through direct customer technical support.
